Dirk van Apeldoorn explains WUR agroforestry experiment in Lelystad (NL)

Dirk explains the aim of the agroforestry experiment, namely to find out what effects the hedges have on the crops. The crops will be for example less affected by wind or will experience less evaporation. He wants to research to what extend those positive effects stretch. He will be measuring the changes in the microclimate, like wind, wind direction, evaporation, soil humidity, sunlight etc. for the coming 10 - 20 years.
